GAYLORD MANLOVE

Spoke with the principal today about my bio teacher. He said he respected me a lot for arguing logically and calmly, and for...well, barging into the principal's office and giving him a piece of my mind.

After all that, I'm willing to give the bio teacher another shot. I knew she was having health problems, but I did not know that her husband has been in constant hospitalization for the past two years. Along with that, she took on a much heavier class load this year. I guess they noticed the increase in complaints from parents and decided to lessen the load on her for next year, since the only classes she'll be teaching then are 11th/12th Bio HL and 10th Bio. Apparently, Bio HL students also regularly get scores above the world average on their exams under her tutelage, too. So I'm going to be patient and see if the lesser workload and lower stress levels will make her more reasonable.

And that's that. But if things don't work out, there's a month of experimentation at the start of 11th grade where I can switch around my classes all willy-nilly. And even after that, the principal told me he can switch me in and out of classes even as late as February--although it's best to have them all finalized by Christmas.

So yeah. I went in with a point to make, I spoke it, and I came out with some more information. I also have to double-check if American universities want me to take Bio HL for Psych. Hmmmmm.
